This Privacy Policy explains how JustScanShare (the “Application”), developed by Yunus Emre Celebi (the “Service Provider”), handles information when you use the Application. You can use the Application without creating an account.
Document scanning and text recognition are performed on your device. The Service Provider does not receive the images you scan or the text extracted from them through the Application’s analytics, crash reporting, or purchase services.
If you enable iCloud Sync, your scanned documents and OCR text are stored in your private iCloud container so they can be backed up and accessed through the Application. This storage is provided by Apple and is governed by your Apple Account settings and Apple’s privacy terms. You can disable iCloud Sync or delete backed-up scans from the Application’s settings.
The Application uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the Application is used and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Depending on your device settings and permissions, the information processed may include:
The Application does not display third-party advertisements. Advertising identifiers, when permitted, are used for campaign attribution and measurement.
The Application uses Firebase Crashlytics to help identify and fix crashes. Crash reports may include stack traces, relevant application state, device and operating-system information, and analytics breadcrumb events that occurred shortly before a crash. Scanned document images and OCR text are not intentionally attached to crash reports by the Application.
The Application uses RevenueCat to manage purchases, subscriptions, restore operations, and premium entitlement status. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, purchase history, product and subscription information, Apple receipt data, entitlement status, last-seen time, and technical device information. The Application does not provide RevenueCat with your name or email address and does not configure a custom account identifier.
Payments are processed by Apple. The Service Provider does not receive your payment card or bank account details.
The Application relies on the following service providers, which process information according to their own terms and privacy practices:
The Application does not request or collect precise location through Apple Location Services. Google Analytics may derive a general geographic area from a masked IP address.
Local documents remain on your device until you delete them or remove the Application. Documents stored in iCloud remain there until you delete them through the Application or your Apple services. Analytics, diagnostic, and purchase information is retained according to the applicable settings and policies of Google/Firebase and RevenueCat.
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information, but no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
The Application is not directed to children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, contact the Service Provider so the matter can be reviewed.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. Because the Application does not require an account and service-provider records may use anonymous identifiers, the Service Provider may need information from your device or purchase records to locate a relevant record. This Privacy Policy may be updated when the Application’s practices or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page.
